Well, not really.
Biologically, greed is actually a useful mechanism for ensuring an organisms survival by accumulating as many resources as possible.
Furthermore evolution is by definition amoral and unbiased. If a greedy organism is more successful than another it will be more likely to reproduce and therefore pass on its traits.
What might serve as a more specific banner is “Greed is stopping human transcendence/enlightenment/fulfillment”

I don’t believe humans evolved from monkeys but this is still a good point. (I also don’t believe in creationism).
